Archive to Zip

Convert an existing archive into a standard .zip file in the browser. This is useful when the original archive opens poorly on the target machine, when you need a more widely supported format, or when you want to repackage files after inspection.

Typical inputs include RAR, 7z, Tar, and similar formats that another person or workflow cannot open easily.

The browser first extracts the source archive and then repacks the contents as a new Zip download. Because of that, runtime and memory usage depend on archive size and device capability.

You can also separate two concerns cleanly: use one password for the input archive if needed, and optionally protect the output Zip with a different password.
