What stays local and what connects

When a tool says it processes data locally, the files or text you select are processed in the browser and are not uploaded to LeetTools for server-side processing. This includes the Archive tools and other explicitly client-side utilities.

Local processing describes the tool's working inputs; loading the website still makes ordinary page requests and may involve the analytics or network checks described below. Browser extensions, the device, and the browser itself also remain part of your security environment.

We welcome checks of LeetTools with browser developer tools. Our commitment is to build safe tools with verifiable data handling: process locally labeled inputs in your browser, keep those working inputs out of our analytics and advertising integrations, and explain deliberate external requests. If you find behavior that breaks these promises, we welcome you calling it out publicly. Share what you observed and redact sensitive data so others can repeat the check.

The production site loads Google Analytics for page measurement. Its standard measurements may process the page URL and query string, referrer, page title, a browser identifier, session information, approximate location, and browser or device details. Google Analytics may also use first-party cookies such as _ga.

LeetTools does not intentionally add file contents, passwords, tokens, generated output, or other tool inputs to analytics events. Because page URLs may be measured, do not place sensitive values in a LeetTools URL or query string.

Some tools are designed to make external network requests as part of their function. Those requests are separate from local file processing and may expose standard request data, such as an IP address and browser headers, to the services contacted. Browser Region Auditor may query ipapi.co for IP geolocation when that check runs.

The site may store a display preference, such as light or dark theme, in your browser. This preference is not a tool input and is not sent to LeetTools for server-side processing.

This website uses Google AdSense to display advertising on selected article pages. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

LeetTools does not send tool inputs to advertising systems. File names, selected contents, passwords, tokens, text inputs, and generated results are never included in ad requests.
